5 Things to Do This Fall in Chetek WI

September is here and before we know it, leaves will be falling from the trees and cooler temperatures will be here to stay! Fall in Chetek WI is just around the corner and whether you’re a local, a first-time tourist, or enjoy vacationing in the great City of Lakes every year, there are dozens of ways you can get to know our community better during one of its most beautiful seasons.

As your local expert real estate team, Six Lakes Realty has included below five things to do this fall in Chetek WI— and trust us, there are so many more!

1. Take a bike ride
Did you know Chetek is full of bike trails just waiting to be explored? Many of these trails that wind around the lakes experience very little traffic making them ideal for a leisurely ride! Enjoy over 30 miles of trails with picturesque scenery and views of the lake, especially during this time of year when the autumn colors will be making their big debut!

2. Go fishing
What better way to get to know the City of Lakes than by visiting one of the lakes? The Chetek Chain of Lakes includes Chetek, Moose Ear, Ojaski, Pokegama, Prairie and Ten Mile. So grab your fishing pole and spend the day angling for one of our area’s many fish species like bass, walleye, northern pike, perch, bluegill, crappie, bullhead and pickerel.

3. Go camping
Just because the summer heat has gone doesn’t mean your chances to stay at one of Chetek’s many campgrounds has too! Pack your tent and come enjoy the great outdoors with a camping trip this fall. Chetek is home to dozens of campgrounds and resorts where you can breathe in crisp, fall air, unplug and take in the scenery around your campsite.

4. Go golfing
Can you think of any better time to hit the links than during the fall season? The weather is cool, the greens are less crowded, and you can practice your skills at a slower pace. Visit one of many golf courses in the Chetek WI area including Sunset View Golf Course, Sioux Creek Golf Course, Fore Seasons Golf Center, and Pine Crest, to name a few.

5. Explore Chetek history
While in the City of Lakes, take some time to learn about our community’s rich history. Visit the Chetek Area Museum open Fridays and Saturdays from 12 PM to 3 PM in September and October or browse the Time & Again Antique Mall with over 40 dealers of vintage wares spanning pottery, glassware, coins, furniture and more!

Contact Six Lakes Realty today for more information about the City of Lakes, buying a home or selling your current property! We look forward to hearing from you!
