Whether you are looking for a vacation home, or undeveloped property suitable for hunting, fishing or other recreational use, you can find it right here in Barron County!
Before you begin your Northwest Wisconsin real estate search, think about how you intend to use the property. Buying a vacation home is different from buying a primary residence, and financing undeveloped land can be a challenge if you are unprepared. You must plan ahead and think long-term.
For example, if you’re looking for a second home, ask yourself a few questions. How often will you occupy the home? Will you use it all four seasons? Here are other considerations:
- Best location for your recreational interests
- Parking for personal vehicles and guest vehicles
- Storage for boat, ATVs or snowmobiles
- Views, water rights, or other preferences
- Capacity for family and guests
- Utilities, insurance and property taxes
- Maintenance and lawn care
- Winterization/snow removal
To offset expenses, you might think about entering your second home in a vacation rental program when you aren’t using it. There are a number of ways to make this work! We offer professional Vacation Rental Management services, and we’ll be happy to discuss your options with you.
